Unhappy with the origin you selected? Want to change your origin legitimately without using commands? This Origins addon adds two new orbs that can be obtained naturally to change your origin. The Orb of Rebirth & the Orb of Vocation are two new items that allow you to change only your Origin and Class respectively. They can be found as loot in the following structures:

  • Abandoned Mineshafts (5% chance)
  • Ancient Cities (25% chance)
  • Buried Treasure (7.5% chance)
  • Desert Pyramids (7.5% chance)
  • End Cities (20% chance)
  • Jungle Temples (15% chance)
  • Nether Fortresses (7.5% chance)
  • Simple Dungeons (7.5% chance)
  • Strongholds (10% chance in corridors and crossings, 15% chance in libraries)
  • Underwater Ruins (5% chance)
  • Village Cartographers (5% chance)
  • Woodland Mansions (25% chance)

The spawn rate of this item has been adjusted based on the frequency the player will encounter the structure (e.g. you're more likely to find an Orb of Rebirth inside an Ancient City than you are a Cartographer's house). Additionally, players can now craft both orbs with new recipes. The recipes are as follows:

Orb of Rebirth (Changes Origin):

(Shapeless) x1 Ghast Tear, x1 Eye of Ender, x1 Compass.

Orb of Vocation (Changes Class):

(Shapeless) x1 Iron Pickaxe, x1 Eye of Ender, x1 Clock.

Planned Features:

  • Balance changes for crafting recipes and drop rates.
  • Add Villager trades (Cleric) as a method of obtaining.
