HerobaneNair's ViaBackwards Mace and Wind Charge

What does it do?

  • Allows you to see if another player is holding a mace or wind charge on pre1.21 (on 1.21 servers)
  • Changes llama spit to a wind charge if Entity Model Features is installed on version 1+
  • Doesn't change the textures or models of the netherite axe or snowball, which is what is changed using viabackwards
  • Will not work on servers that don't send that information to the player's client.

Is this allowed?

Allowed everywhere! Confirmed with mace tl staff, vanilla tl staff, USpvp, and more!

How to use?

All versions will work with the pack. It might appear red on your resource-packs folder but should work on all versions pre1.21 (and ig post 1.16 but you should be playing on 1.20 at least by now)

I want to change the mace or wind charge texture/model

How it works is it will map the nbt data of the netherite axe and snowball [mace and wind charge respectively] having the specific viabackwards tag that goes to the mace or wind charge to where the mace and wind charge would usually be in your Minecraft resourcepack folder. If you wanted to change the texture of the mace, for example, you would go to assets/minecraft/textures/item/mace.png and edit that. You can also use 1.21 resource packs that change the textures and models of the mace as long as this pack is loaded first and the other pack doesn't use optifine.

Compatibility

Does not change the actual textures of the netherite axe or snowball and is compatible with most 1.21 mace and wind charge packs (both textures and models work)

Might add a custom entity model that changes the llama spit to a wind charge but with college starting might not have time

Requires CIT Resewn

Llama Spit to Wind charge requires Entity Model Features
