Twemoji Visibility

• Added support for the Symbol Chat mod.

  • The Emoji picker is based on Discord's emoji sorting but only with the emojis that Twemoji Visibility supports.
  • You can also find the twemoji:twemoji table in the Unicode Table. Make sure the page is set to 1 and Hide Missing Glyphs is checked.

• Text shadow has been fixed for action bar, boss bar, and a few other places.

  Known issues:

• Emoji text shadow is broken in GUIs with certain text fields excluding books. (Anvil, Command Blocks, Resource Pack Menu, Server/World Creation [but they are fine in the Select World and Player Multiplayer menus], Symbol Chat's Unicode Picker (if text shadow isn't turned off), and likely some other places.

  • Container GUIs work properly.

• Emojis on glowing Signs do not display properly.

  These issues may not be fixable. If you find a way please let me know.

Note: These are still not the official Twemoji emojis. This uses an unofficial fork maintained by the developers of the original Twemoji emojis that are no longer at Twitter/X. This fork is used by Discord, so these emojis will be added to Discord in the coming weeks.

• Updated to 1.20.2
• Changed pack description in game to remove the Minecraft version number.
  • This is because of a new change in 1.20.2, where a resource pack can have multiple supported versions. This means that the resource pack will never have to be updated to be marked as compatible with newer versions.

  • Changed 1.19.4 -> 1.20 in pack description (mcmeta)

• Changed the pack description (mcmeta) to specify that it replaces the emojis with Twemoji, not adding it.

  • This is because of the Unifont update in 1.20, which now adds all the emojis by default.

Twemoji Visibility has switched from the Twitter's Twemoji repository to jdecked's Twemoji forked repository. jdecked was the designer for Twitter's Twemoji but they got fired. To continue updating Twemoji, they made their own fork. Discord uses this new fork too, so it should match in game. Anyway, here are the emojis that have changed:

Notes:

The emoji icons displayed above are the default ones on your browser, they will likely appear differently in game.

The resource pack is meant for 1.19.3 but it will work on any version past 1.16, just ignore the message about it being made for a newer version of Minecraft.
